Hiya! I’m Kayla, and I’m so excited you’re here!
I recently quit my job in corporate America in order to follow my passions and travel the world! I bought a one-way ticket to Australia and leave in early January 2019, so I’ll be sharing all my stories, adventures, and lessons learned here on the blog, to hopefully inspire you to take the same leap and follow your heart!
Starting this blog has been a brainchild of mine for a few years now, and I’m so excited that it’s finally coming to life!
Recipe as follows:
First: the name. One night, while having random conversations with my good friend Brian, the name just clicked. We were planning some new adventure and I said “yes” and boom, light bulb! The name is fun for two reasons – one, ALWAYS say yes to adventure (just trust me) and two, if you say it out-loud it sounds like “adventurous” which is an adjective I’d humbly use to describe myself.
Second: the adventures. Whatever money I am not spending on my dog, Brinkley, gets spent on travel (and burritos). Whether it be a quick weekend camping trip, a cross-country visit to see friends, or a month-long backpacking trip through Asia, I find my happiness in new adventures and experiences.
Third: me. I am a 26-year old southern California native living in San Diego. I’m all about outdoor experiences, and I always bring Brinkley on as many of my adventures as possible! I’m also an avid festival-goer, and love experiencing new places, people and sounds at different festivals each year!
Fourth: you. I am so excited to finally have the chance to share my all my traveling tales and adventure anecdotes in a big way! As busy as we all are in life, it’s hard to stay caught up on each other, and I plan to use this platform as a window into my adventures, and to share inspiration, tips and tricks with all of you. I also plan on building this small dream into a big one so that people can use it to get ideas on places to go or things to do, wherever they are! I hope my stories can inspire and educate you to adventure more, in all the best ways possible.
Happy Trails and Happy Travels!
